Good post. One thing I would like to add is people often fail to research the company that they are attempting to get a job with. This is a major mistake as when put on the spot if you cannot answer a question related to the company it can be very embarrassing and hard to come back from.

I listened to the CD (JobSearch Mastermind, 7 Secrets to uncovering the hidden job market) and I really have to say, it is probably the best overall – to the point – advice for job seekers I’ve heard. No kidding – all job seekers should listen to it.
