Job Search Secret #15 – How to Have Companies Contact You When They Have An Opening

Today, I am going to release the first of several Job Search Secrets. If you have not heard of these strategies, then I encourage you to add them to your toolbox as you conduct your job search.

The first Job Search Secret is a little, unknown website called www.watchthatpage.com

I first came across this website about 4 years ago and it has paid off BIG time for me. I encourage you to watch the video so that you get a better feel for how it works.

Basically, it notifies you whenever changes have been made to your favorite websites. So, how can this work for you? Well, every city has companies that post jobs on their corporate website. What is amazing is that many of these positions never make it to the BIG online job boards. So, you may never even know the positions exist.

However, if you copy and paste the company URL into "Watch That Page" then you will be notified the moment a position is added to the company online job board. This is a great tip to help you stay on top of what is happening on the job search front in your local market.

    Jonathan:
Great job with these daily exclusive tips on the art of job searching! Keep up the good work.
http://www.indeed.com, which is potentially the best job search aggregator on the net (my personal opinion), also offers job alert services based on a combination of parameters(location, position title, company) or you can also get alert based on a single parameter (company or location, or job title). The cool thing about http://www.indeed.com is that their search spiders scrawl most company’s job posting boards. For instance, I ran a query for jobs with big 4 company KPMG: http://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=kpmg&l= and if you scroll all the way down you can submit your email to receive new jobs posting alerts from KPMG.
Another great addition to job seekers tool box!
Hey guys gotta give Jonathan a tap on his back because he is indeed giving away some “proprietary information” on job hunting! LOL If you are able the connect the dots between all the tips provided on this blog, you will most certainly become a highly skilled and successful job hunter!
